LG G6 Is Now Official In India, Available Starting Tomorrow

LG has just announced the LG G6 in India, following the phone’s global announcement which occurred back in February. The LG G6 was announced at this year’s Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona, and it took the device quite a bit of time to arrive to India. Well, the phone finally landed, and we’re looking at the same device that was announced back in February, there are no differences in the spec department, though it is worth mentioning that this is the variant of the phone that will ship in most global markets, which comes with the 32-bit -Hi-Fi Quad DAC. For those of you who do not know, a US variant of the phone lacks this feature, but comes with wireless charging instead, unlike the model that was announced in India.

The LG G6 is LG’s flagship which is made out of metal and glass, and this handset sports the Full Vision display. The LG G6 sports really thin bezel and looks quite sleek because of it. The phone’s display corners are rounded, and its back side is curved. This smartphone sports a 5.7-inch 2880 x 1440 Full Vision display which comes with an 18:9 aspect ratio, while the phone features 4GB of LPDDR4 RAM and 64GB of expandable internal storage. The device is fueled by the Snapdragon 821 64-bit quad-core processor, along with the Adreno 530 GPU for graphics. On the back of the LG G6, you’ll be able to find two 13-megapixel snappers, a 71-degree wide-angle lens, and a 125-degree wide-angle lens. A 5-megapixel shooter is available on the front side of the LG G6, and the phone is water and dust resistant (IP68 certification). A 3,300mAh battery is included on the inside of this smartphone, and Qualcomm’s Quick Charge 3.0 fast charging is also a part of the package.

Android 7.0 Nougat comes pre-installed on the LG G6, with the company’s LG UX 6.0 skin on top of it. The LG G6 sports a rear-facing fingerprint scanner, and the phone also comes with Bluetooth 4.2 LE, in case you were wondering. The LG G6 comes in Astro Black, Ice Platinum and Mystic White color variants, and it is priced at Rs. 51,990 ($807) in India. The device will become available for purchase tomorrow, and you’ll be able to get it exclusively from Amazon India, at least as far as online availability is concerned, the phone will also be available through a number of offline stores in the country.
