The Meizu E2 render popped up yesterday, and the device has just been certified by TENAA (China’s equivalent to the FCC). Now, Meizu already confirmed that the phone will be announced on April 26th, and thanks to TENAA, we now have plenty of info when it comes to Meizu’s upcoming handset. TENAA not only revealed the phone’s design, as we get to see it from almost all sides, but the source also shared the phone’s specifications. That being said, let’s see what the Meizu E2 has to offer, shall we.
The Meizu E2 is a metal-clad smartphone, just like a number of other Meizu-branded devices out there. This phone, in general, resembles Meizu’s previous offerings quite a bit. Its design is not exactly flashy, but it does the job, while the company’s mBack physical home key is placed under the display once again. This button doubles as a fingerprint scanner, and also serves as a physical home key and a capacitive back button. The power / lock, volume up and volume down buttons are placed on the right-hand side of this phone, and the device sports a rather odd-looking flash next to the rear-facing camera. That being said, the Meizu E2 features a 5.5-inch fullHD (1920 x 1080) display, 2GB / 3GB / 4GB of RAM (it seems like multiple variants will become available), and 16GB / 32GB / 64GB of native storage (expandable up to 128GB via a microSD card).
The Meizu E2 will be fueled by an octa-core processor clocked at 2.35GHz, but TENAA does not reveal what SoC can we expect here. A 13-megapixel shooter is placed on the back of the Meizu E2, while you’ll be able to find an 8-megapixel camera on the phone’s front side. A, 3,300mAh non-removable battery is also a part of this package, and it seems like YunOS 5.1.1 will come out of the box on this handset, at least according to TENAA. The Meizu E2 measures 153.7 x 75.7 x 7.5mm, while it weighs 165 grams. TENAA also reveals that the device will be available in Black, Silver and Gold color variants.
