Lenovo’s upcoming Moto E4 smartphone has shown up on Geekbench recently displaying that the device has 2GB of RAM and that it comes running on Android 7.0 Nougat for the operating system software, which would seem to correspond with previous rumors and leaks about the device, though nothing is yet confirmed as the phone hasn’t officially been announced and anything is likely subject to change until the device is launched, or at least announced as having the specs and hardware that have so far been surfacing about the phone in recent weeks.
In addition to the amount of RAM and the version of Android that will be on the device based on the Geekbench listing, the Moto E4 will also come powered by a MediaTek MT6737 processor which is an ARM-based CPU that has 4 cores and clocks at 1.25GHz. Although this is going to be an entry level phone and the performance will not be as good as with other Moto phones that are more high-end, it’s still likely to have some great optimization. The Geekbench listing shows that the device came in with a score of 551 for the single-core score, while it scored 1514 for the multi-core score. That’s not too bad all things considered.
Unfortnately, since this is just a Geekbench score for the phone there isn’t much detail beyond the RAM, CPU, and Android version to speak of, so there is a whole lot left to learn about the device. That being said, the earlier leaks did mention quite a bit of information such as the phone coming with 5-inch display with a resolution of 854 x 480, as well as 2-megapixel camera on the front and a 5-megapixel camera on the back. The Moto E4 is potentially going to be accompanied by another model of the device called the Moto E4 Plus, which seems to be the standard at this point with Lenovo and the Moto team as the Moto G5 comes in a Plus model as well, and the recently rumored Moto C will supposedly launch alongside the Moto C Plus, giving consumers a little bit of choice in device variance as each Plus version of the two unreleased devices will probably have slightly different specs.
