Purported Xiaomi Mi 6 Case Leaks Ahead Of Launch

Following a plethora of leaks and rumors, the Xiaomi Mi 6 will be officially announced in just a few more days, or April 19 to be precise. Leaked images of the upcoming smartphone so far have provided conflicting information about the design of the device. Now there has been a purported Xiaomi Mi 6 case leak just ahead of the launch, which matches up with one of the more recent leaks of the handset.

There is considerable interest in the Xiaomi Mi 6 following the success and popularity of the Xiaomi Mi 5 that launched last year. This latest leak from @kjuma shows several images of a case claimed to be for the Xiaomi Mi 6. The case has cutouts for a dual rear camera arrangement with the flash just to the left, and the images also give further indications about the phone. For instance, the case shows there will be a USB Type-C port and there’s also an aperture for the wireless charging feature. However, there appears to be no opening for a 3.5mm audio port. It should be said that the leak in question comes from a leakster with a mixed record of credibility, although that doesn’t mean that this Mi 6 case leak doesn’t show the real deal. As well as the featured image you can check out further images of the case in the gallery below.

Just yesterday some leaked images of the Xiaomi Mi 6 emerged. The images also revealed the dual-tone dual-LED flash on the reverse to the left of the camera sensors, which aligns with this case leak. Turning to the front showed the home button with fingerprint scanner beneath the display, and the handset featured curves on each of the four corners. The new case images also show curved corners so that’s a further match. The new smartphone is expected to have a glass and metal build with a 5.15-inch display, and it will be launched alongside a larger Xiaomi Mi 6 Plus with a 5.7-inch display. They will both be running Android Nougat skinned with Xiaomi’s MIUI 8 OS, and on Wednesday there will finally be the news that many are waiting for regarding confirmed specs, release date, and pricing.
