Samsung Galaxy S8 & S8 Plus Now Available From AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile, Sprint & Retailers

The Samsung Galaxy S8 and the Galaxy S8 Plus are the two newest smartphones from Samsung and both have been available to pre-order over the last couple of weeks. However, if you are the type of person who would prefer to just buy when the devices are available to ship, then that time has now come. Samsung has now opened up general availability for both smartphones and likewise so have all the major carriers and retailers in the US. Which does mean that when it comes to the Galaxy S8 and the Galaxy S8 Plus, there are plenty of places and options to choose from.

To help make the decision of where to buy a little easier, here are the details and prices on most of the places you might want to consider.

AT&T

If you go the AT&T route, both the Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus are available in either Arctic Silver, Midnight Black, or Orchid Gray.

Samsung Galaxy S8

For those looking to purchase in full via AT&T, the Samsung Galaxy S8 is priced at $749.99 outright. Alternatively, the Galaxy S8 can be picked up through ‘AT&T Next’ for $25 per month, over 30 months, with $0 down. AT&T customers also have the option to go through ‘AT&T Next Every Year’. This route comprises of 24 monthly payments of $31.25, with $0 down, and comes with the option to upgrade the Galaxy S8 after 50-percent of the cost of the smartphone has been paid off.

Samsung Galaxy S8 Plus

In terms of the Galaxy S8 Plus, to buy outright, the Galaxy S8 Plus via AT&T is priced at $849.99. If going through the AT&T Next route, the Galaxy S8 Plus costs $28.34 per month, over the 30 months, with $0 down. While if opting for AT&T Next Every Year, the Galaxy S8 Plus can be picked up for $35.42 per month, with $0 down, and the same option to upgrade after 12 months.

Verizon

Verizon also has the Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus available in either Arctic Silver, Midnight Black, or Orchid Gray. In fact, Verizon is a little cheaper than most of the other carriers for those looking to buy outright.

Samsung Galaxy S8

Through Verizon, the Galaxy S8 is available for a one-time cost of $720. Those looking to pay monthly can opt to pay $30.00 per month, over 24 months, with $0 down.

Samsung Galaxy S8 Plus

For the Galaxy S8 Plus, Verizon is currently selling the larger Galaxy S8 model for $840 outright. On the monthly side, the Galaxy S8 Plus is available through Verizon at $35.00 per month, over 24 months, with $0 down.

T-Mobile

If the self-proclaimed “uncarrier” is where you plan to pick up your Galaxy S8, then both the standard Galaxy S8 and the larger Galaxy S8 Plus are now available through T-Mobile. Like AT&T and Verizon, T-Mobile also has both the Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus available in either Arctic Silver, Midnight Black, or Orchid Gray.

Samsung Galaxy S8

The Galaxy S8 is available as an outright purchase through T-Mobile for $750. While those looking to pay monthly can opt for the company’s EIP which will set a buyer back $30 per month, over 24 months, with $30 down.

Samsung Galaxy S8 Plus

Alternatively, the Galaxy S8 Plus is available as an outright purchase for $850. While the monthly cost comes in at the same $30 per month, over 24 months, the difference with the Galaxy S8 Plus is that T-Mobile requires a $130 down-payment – $100 more than the down-payment for the Galaxy S8.

Sprint

If you plan to purchase through Sprint, then the carrier also has a number of options for you to consider on both devices. Like the previous carriers, Sprint has both the Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus available in either Arctic Silver, Midnight Black, or Orchid Gray.

Samsung Galaxy S8

In terms of the Galaxy S8, Sprint is offering the standard Galaxy S8 at an outright price of $750. Alternatively, you can pay monthly through Sprint at a cost of $31.25 per month, over 24 months, with $o down. Likewise, there is also the option to ‘lease’ the Galaxy S8 through Sprint. Via this route, the Galaxy S8 can be picked up at the same $31.25 monthly cost, although only over 18 months. This route comes with Sprint’s “Galaxy Forever” option which lets you upgrade to the next Galaxy smartphone after 12 payments.

Samsung Galaxy S8 Plus

For the Galaxy S8 Plus, this one is available through Sprint at an outright cost of $850. If going the monthly route, then the Galaxy S8 Plus can be picked up for $35.42 per month, over 24 months, with $0 down. Likewise, the lease option is also available and via this route the Galaxy S8 Plus is available for the same $35.42 per month, over an 18-month period, and with the same option to upgrade after 12 payments.

B&H Photo

Of course, you do not have to buy either of the smartphones through any of the carriers and instead can opt to go through a retailer like B&H Photo. If you do, then both the Galaxy S8 and the S8 Plus are available as unlocked models. These are GSM models and therefore, primarily work on the likes of AT&T and T-Mobile. Compared to the carriers, B&H Photo currently lists both the Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus as available in Arctic Silver, Coral Blue, Maple Gold, Midnight Black, and Orchid Gray.

As this route is through a retailer, there are no plans on offer. Instead the Galaxy S8 is simply available to buy for $829.99, while the Galaxy S8 Plus is priced at $929.99. It is also worth noting that B&H Photo does not collect tax outside of New York and New Jersey, so if that applies to you, the $829.99 and $929.99 prices are the total prices you will pay when checking out.

Samsung

Last but not least, there is always Samsung. If you are not interested in purchasing the Galaxy S8 or the Galaxy S8 Plus through a third-party retailer or a carrier, then you can opt to buy directly from Samsung. If you do opt for the direct route, then Samsung is currently selling all the carrier versions of both devices and at exactly the same prices the carriers are. So there is no major difference between ordering directly through Samsung, with prices starting from $720 for the Verizon Galaxy S8.

However, Samsung does also offer a financing option and through this option consumers can pick up either smartphone and pay off monthly. Through Samsung Finance, prices start from $30 per month, over 24 months, for the standard Galaxy S8.
