Take A Look At Xiaomi Mi 6's Official Camera Samples

The Xiaomi Mi 6 is finally here, and so are the first official camera samples for Xiaomi’s all-new flagship. The Xiaomi Mi 6 is well-equipped in the spec department, and it retains a design similar to its predecessor, though Xiaomi changed some things around, of course. One of the changes that the company made is the inclusion of an extra camera sensor on the back, the Xiaomi Mi 6 sports a dual camera setup on the back, compared to its predecessor’s single shooter. That being said, let’s take a look at the phone’s camera samples, shall we.

If you take a look below this article, you’ll get to see two separate galleries. The first gallery shows off some images captured by the Xiaomi Mi 6’s camera setup, while the second one lets you take a look at something very specific, shallow depth of field effects (Xiaomi calls this ‘Portrait Mode’) that the Mi 6’s camera is able to create while taking an image. As you can see, the Xiaomi Mi 6’s camera is able to capture some really nice-looking photos, which is not exactly a surprise considering that the Mi 5 was quite a capable smartphone in this department, as so were the Xiaomi Mi 5s, Mi 5s Plus and the Mi Note 2. In the first gallery you will be able to see regular photographs which were taken by both the Xiaomi Mi 6’s rear-facing cameras, including some wide-angle ones, while the second gallery shows off some pictures where the telephoto 52mm lens takes the cake. This is one of the two camera lenses on the back of the Mi 6, and it basically creates the shallow depth of field effect, in collaboration with the other, regular, wide-angle shooter, of course. Xiaomi’s software actually plays an important role in making the images look really nice as well, as their Beautify 3.0 feature adjusts images when needed.

Now, the Xiaomi Mi 6 is quite a compact smartphone, mainly thanks to its 5.15-inch fullHD (1920 x 1080) display. This handset sports 6GB of RAM and comes in both 64GB and 128GB storage flavors. The Mi 6 is available in 5 different color variants, Black, White, Blue, Silver Edition and Ceramic, the latter two are actually special edition variants of the phone. This handset is fueled by the Snapdragon 835 64-bit octa-core SoC, and it packs in a 3,350mAh battery. All in all, the Xiaomi Mi 6 is well-equipped in the spec department, and it remains to be seen how good will it perform once it becomes available, speaking of which, it will be released in China on April 28, other markets will follow at a later date.
