Xiaomi Mi 6 Plus Flagship Leaks In New Real-Life Images

Several real-life images depicting what’s said to be the upcoming Xiaomi Mi 6 Plus flagship have surfaced online on Sunday. The two photographs can be seen above and depict both the front and back side of a device that’s seemingly identical to several alleged renders of the Mi 6 Plus that leaked on Friday, with the only difference being their color. The newly leaked handset sports a glossy black finish and features relatively thin front bezels and almost no side bezels. The front side of the alleged Mi 6 Plus is also equipped with a physical Home button that will likely ship with an integrated fingerprint scanner seeing how there’s no sign of a fingerprint reader on the back panel of the smartphone. One thing that’s definitely present on the rear side of the newly leaked device is a dual camera setup coupled with a dual LED flash. Reports from March indicated the setup will consist of two 12-megapixel Sony IMX362 sensors, though that has yet to be confirmed.

As per previous rumors, the Xiaomi Mi 6 Plus will feature a 5.7-inch display panel with a Full HD (1920 x 1080) resolution. The device is said to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 system-on-chip (SoC) and at least 4GB of RAM, with Xiaomi allegedly planning to release versions with 6GB and 8GB of RAM. Aside from random access memory, the three models are also expected to differ in terms of storage as the cheaper variants are said to ship with 64GB and 128GB of storage space, while the most expensive version will offer 256GB of internal memory. In addition to the aforementioned dual camera setup, the Xiaomi Mi 6 Plus reportedly sports an 8-megapixel front shooter. All of that hardware is expected to be powered by a 4,500mAh non-removable battery, while the device itself will almost certainly run some version of Android Nougat out of the box.

The Mi 6 Plus is said to start at 2,599 yuan ($377), with the most expensive model being priced at 3,499 yuan ($507). Xiaomi is expected to officially unveil all variants of the upcoming Mi 6 and the Mi 6 Plus by mid-April, so more details regarding these flagship Android devices are bound to follow shortly.
