Belkin on Tuesday unveiled a new suit of fast-charging battery packs called the Pocket Power series. The well-known American mobile accessories company says the lineup is meant to power multiple devices, with three tiers on offer, boasting a capacity of 5,000mAh, 10,000mAh, and 15,000mAh, respectively. The accessories use polymer battery cell technology and have built-in safety measures so that your device remains protected. The battery packs offer fast charging via a micro-USB port, and a 6-inch micro-USB cable comes included with your purchase. They have been designed to be compact and slim, sporting a lightweight plastic casing and four LED power indicators.
As battery packs are becoming more popular among consumers, Belking is hoping that its new fast-charging battery will prove to be an attractive proposition due to being affordable and extremely portable. The company’s vice president of product management Marco Peters said that its consumer insight studies had enabled the company to find out more about what consumers are looking for in this respect, and the Pocket Power lineup is meant to directly address the firm’s latest findings.
Those interested in the Belkin Pocket Power 5,000mAh battery pack can purchase the black variant of the device for $29.99, while rose gold and silver color options are coming soon. The pack can supposedly provide consumers with more than 19 hours of extra call time or over 11 hours of additional web browsing. You can get one from Belkin.com and it’s also on sale at Target for US buyers or Walmart in Canada. The 10,000mAh and 15,000mAh battery packs will hit the market at some point this summer. The 10,000mAh option comes in the same color choices as the above one, while the 15,000mAh battery pack will only be available in black. You’ll get around 25 hours of extra call time or around 21 extra hours of web browsing with the 10,000mAh battery, and approximately 57 hours of additional call time or 50 extra hours web browsing hours with the 15,000mAh one. Many new battery packs were launched in recent months, with two recent examples being the Tronsmart Presto 10,000mAh battery pack and the Samsung Battery Pack with kettle design.
