Element announced at CES earlier this year, that they were bringing Amazon’s Fire TV into some of their latest TV sets, and now those TV’s are up for pre-order starting at $449. There are four models available. There’s the 43-inch for $449, the 50-inch for $549, 55-inch for $649 and then the 65-inch for $899. They are all the same, except for the screen size. All four do boast 4K displays and use Amazon’s Fire TV platform, which makes it great for playing 4K content from sources like Netflix, Amazon Prime Video and many others.
With Amazon’s redesigned Fire TV interface, this is a great combination for anyone looking for a new TV right now. Fire TV makes it easy for you to find all sorts of movies and TV shows, as well as playing some games. Now you won’t find console-quality games on the Fire TV platform, but you will find some great games available, that are running on Android – remember that Fire TV is technically Android, but a forked version. Some of your favorite apps are available on Fire TV, which includes Sling TV, HBO GO, Netflix, Hulu, YouTube (unofficially), CBS All Access and many, many more. It’s one of the larger platforms out there, right up there with Roku.
Many may wonder why they would want a TV that has Fire TV built in, well it’s because that makes this a smart TV, but with a pretty good interface. Typically smart TV’s have pretty subpar interfaces that are difficult to navigate through and use. With Fire TV, all of your favorite apps are already available, not to mention Alexa. Which means you’ll be able to control things like your lights with the voice button on your remote. Which is definitely nice to have. These models are up for pre-order right now, and Element says that they will be shipping on June 14th, just in time for Father’s Day, making it a great Father’s Day gift this year. Additionally, they will be available in retail stores beginning in June. They also mentioned that Westinghouse’ Fire TV models will be available in June as well.
