The much talked-about Essential Phone became official earlier today, and the device is now available on the company’s website. The Essential Phone is a really nice-looking smartphone which is made out of titanium and ceramic, which sports a rear-facing fingerprint scanner, and a dual camera setup on the back. The Essential Phone also comes with POGO pins on the back, which let this phone connect with Moto Mod-like accessories, which gives this phone a touch of modularity. Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 835 SoC fuel the Essential Phone, and the device packs in 4GB of RAM and 128GB of native storage. There are two 13-megapixel snappers on the back of this smartphone, and the device sports a similar setup to the Huawei P10 in that regard, as it comes with one RGB sensor, and one monochrome lens. A 3,040mAh battery is also included in this package, and the device sports a 5.71-inch 2460 x 1312 display (19:10 aspect ratio), while an 8-megapixel shooter is placed on the front side of this smartphone. The Essential Phone looks like a blend between the Xiaomi Mi MIX and the Galaxy S8, and it will be interesting to see how many people will be interested in buying this smartphone. The Essential Phone is not exactly the cheapest flagship out there, but it sure has plenty to offer for the price point, though we’re still waiting for some additional tidbits to be revealed by the company, especially in the software department, considering that we don’t know anything about its software except for the fact that it runs Android.
