Honor had introduced the Honor 8 Lite smartphone back in February in China, and the device has just arrived to India as well. The Honor 8 Lite is essentially a more affordable variant of the company’s quite popular Honor 8 smartphone, though the Honor 8 Lite is a very compelling device in its own right. This handset is made out of metal and glass, it comes with a rear-facing fingerprint scanner, and unlike the Honor 8, it features a single rear-facing camera, which is flanked by an LED flash. All the physical keys that are included on this device are located on its right-hand side.
The Honor 8 Lite will become available for purchase in India starting tomorrow, May 12, and you’ll be able to get it for Rs. 17,999 ($280). The phone will be available through Honor’s partner offline stores all over India, and only the black variant of the device will go on sale tomorrow. The blue variant of the Honor 8 Lite will arrive later this month, said Honor. The company also added that the device comes with a 15-month service warranty, along with Honor’s door pick-up and drop after sale facilities, which is a nice addition by Honor, that’s for sure. Now, as far as specs are concerned, this handset sports a 5.2-inch fullHD (1920 x 1080) 2.5D curved glass display, 4GB of LPDDR3 RAM and 64GB of expandable storage. The device is fueled by the Kirin 655 64-bit octa-core processor, and the Mali-T830 MP2 GPU for graphics.
A single 12-megapixel snapper (1.25um pixel size, BSI CMOS sensor) can be found on the back of the Honor 8 Lite, while an 8-megapixel shooter (77-degree wide-angle lens) is located on the front side of this smartphone. A 3,000mAh battery is placed on the inside of this smartphone, and there are two SIM card slots included in this phone as well. Android 7.0 Nougat comes pre-installed on the Honor 8 Lite, with the company’s Emotion UI (EMUI) 5.0 skin. The Honor 8 Lite measures 147.2 x 72.94 x 7.6mm, while it weighs 147 grams, in case you were wondering. This handset also offers Bluetooth 4.1, and 4G LTE connectivity, of course. There you have it, you’ll be able to pick up the Honor 8 Lite in India starting tomorrow, so get ready if you’re interested
