We already know that the HTC U 11 will launch on May 16, and the device’s spec sheet just surfaced. HTC had confirmed that the phone will be announced on May 16, and the company had also released a teaser video for its announcement, confirming that you’ll be able to squeeze the phone in order to utilize some of its features, which is quite interesting. The HTC U 11 will be the company’s all-new flagship for 2017, and it will be quite powerful, at least according to this leaked spec sheet, read on.
If the provided image is to be believed, the HTC U 11 will sport a 5.5-inch QHD (2560 x 1440) display with Corning’s Gorilla Glass 5 protection on top of it. The phone will be fueled by the Snapdragon 835 64-bit octa-core processor, while it will pack in 6GB of RAM. A 12-megapixel snapper (f/1.7 aperture, UltraPixel 3, UltraSpeed AF) will be included on the back of this phone, and the phone’s ‘squeeze’ features will be introduced as ‘Edge Sense’. IP57 certification for water and dust resistance will also be a part of the package, and a 16-megapixel snapper (f/2.0 aperture) will be included on the front side of this smartphone. HTC’s BoomSound is making a comeback here as well, which means you’ll get Hi-Res audio along with this smartphone, while 3D audio recording will also be included. A fingerprint scanner will also be a part of the package, and if the recently leaked image is to be believed, that fingerprint scanner will be included on the front side of the device.
The HTC U 11 will sport two SIM card slots (2 x nano SIM), and Qualcomm’s Quick Charge 3.0 fast charging will be a part of the package as well. The HTC U 11 will ship with support for NFC, and 4G LTE connectivity will be included as well, of course. You will be able to expand the HTC U 11’s internal storage via a microSD card up to 2TB, if the source is to be believed. Now, we still don’t know what to expect in the battery department, but a 3,000mAh battery is rumored. Android 7.1.1 Nougat will, reportedly, come pre-installed on the device, and on top of it, you’ll get HTC’s Sense UI, as per usual.
