The HTC U11 had been announced earlier today by HTC, and we’ve already talked about its availability in the US, but in the meantime, the phone actually became available for a pre-order. Earlier today, we reported that the HTC U11 will come to the US, and that it will be available unlocked and through Sprint, in case you’re looking to buy it through a carrier. Well, the device is now available for a pre-order, both unlocked and through Sprint, read on.
You can now pre-order the HTC U11 via HTC.com, Amazon or Sprint (Amazon listing is live, Sprint will be soon if it’s not already), it’s your choice. The phone is actually priced at $696 in the US (though the phone is currently priced at $649 over at Amazon), unlocked, while you can get it from Sprint on contract, of course. Now, do keep in mind that only the Sapphire Blue and Brilliant Black color variants are available through Sprint, while you can buy the phone unlocked in Sapphire Blue, Brilliant Black and Amazing Silver color options. The HTC U11 will become available for purchase in the US starting on June 9. HTC decided to sweeten the deal when it comes to the HTC U11 pre-orders, for a limited time, the company is offering you a chance to get two Amazon Echo Dots ($99.99 value) if you pre-order the device from Sprint. We’re not sure how long will this promo last, so you might want to hurry up if you’re interested.
The HTC U11 is pretty much what we’ve all expected, a phone made out of metal and glass, which comes with a high-end spec sheet. This device is fueled by the Snapdragon 835 64-bit octa-core SoC, while it also packs in 4GB of RAM and 64GB of expandable storage. The device features a 12-megapixel snapper on its back, while you’ll be able to find a 16-megapixel camera on its front side. A 3,000mAh battery is also a part of this package, and Android 7.1 Nougat comes pre-installed on the device, along with the company’s Sense UI. This handset comes with some special features as well, as its frame is pressure-sensitive. HTC calls this feature ‘Edge Sense’, and if you press on the phone’s frame harder, you will be able to activate some special feature, like activating the camera, shooting a video or activating sound capture.
