Two new Huawei-branded smartphones have just paid a visit to TENAA (China’s equivalent to the FCC), and by doing that, they got certified in China. These two smartphones are the Huawei Nova 2 and Huawei Nova 2 Plus it seems. These two smartphones are supposed to be successors to the Huawei Nova and Huawei Nova Plus, two of the company’s mid-range smartphones which were launched in not only China, but Europe as well. That being said, let’s see what the second-gen models have to offer, shall we.
Now, do keep in mind that we don’t get to see full TENAA listings of these two phones, as only their images have been published, no spec info for the time being. As you can see, these two handsets look quite similar in terms of the design, as expected, though the Huawei Nova 2 Plus will be a larger phone, of course. The Huawei Nova 2 is expected to sport a 5-inch or a 5.1-inch fullHD display, while the Nova Plus 2 will probably sport a 5.5-inch panel. These two handsets are made out of metal, and as you can see, the home button is not present below the display, on the company’s branding, as was the case with their predecessors. Qualcomm’s Snapdragon SoC will probably fuel these two phones, and chances are that both devices will be fueled by the same chip. Now, it is possible that Huawei plans to utilize the Snapdragon 652 64-bit octa-core SoC here, or something similar to that.
Android Nougat will come pre-installed on both of these devices, and on top of it, you’ll get Huawei’s Emotion UI (EMUI) skin, of course. The Huawei Nova and Huawei Nova Plus were introduced back in September last year, so it is possible we’ll have to wait a bit longer until the Huawei Nova 2 and Huawei Nova 2 Plus land, but it’s also possible that Huawei plans to release those two smartphones a bit early this time around, who knows. In any case, stay tuned, we’ll let you know as soon as spec info pops up on TENAA, and that will almost certainly happen in the near future.
