The OnePlus 5 is one of the most anticipating smartphones of this year, and a rather interesting leak just appeared. TechRadar claims that it received an intriguing chart from a trusted source, which is allegedly showing off internal testing of app load times for the OnePlus 5, and compares them to the results of the Galaxy S8 and the Google Pixel XL. As you can see, the OnePlus 5 beats both the Galaxy S8 and the Google Pixel XL. For example, the device 12 seconds, on average, to fully open Asphalt 8: Airborne game. For comparison’s sake, it takes 16 seconds, on average, for the Galaxy S8 to do the same thing, and 26 seconds for the Google Pixel XL. Google Maps, Spotify, Twitter, etc. The OnePlus 5 managed to fully open Facebook in 3.9 seconds (on average), while the Galaxy S8 managed to do the same in 4.7 seconds (on average). It took the Google Pixel XL 5.1 seconds to do the same thing, once again, these are average times. Neither of the iPhone-branded phones are listed here, which is a shame, but it makes sense considering we’re looking at a completely different OS here. The OnePlus 5 will launch during the summer, OnePlus already confirmed that, and chances are it will arrive next month, considering that its predecessor was announced back in June 2016. The OnePlus 5 is expected to sport a dual camera setup on the back, and it will be fueled by the Snapdragon 835 64-bit octa-core SoC. The phone will probably ship with a 5.5-inch fullHD or QHD AMOLED display, and it will pack in 6GB or 8GB of RAM. Android 7.1.1 Nougat will come pre-installed on the device, and on top of it, you’ll get the company’s custom skin, OxygenOS.
