Nubia had introduced the Nubia Z17 mini last month, and the more powerful Nubia Z17 just surfaced on Geekbench. The Nubia Z17 mini comes with a compelling spec sheet, but it includes a mid-range processor, despite the fact is comes with 6GB of RAM. The Nubia Z17 mini might be a really compelling device, but it’s definitely not the company’s flagship. Well, the Nubia Z17 might be, as it will be fueled by the Snapdragon 835 SoC, at least according to Geekbench, read on.
The Nubia Z17 surfaced with a model number NX563J, and aside from the fact it comes with the Snapdragon 835, the device also includes 4GB of RAM, and Android 7.1.1 Nougat. This listing dates back to April 29, and aside from several spec details that we’ve just mentioned, it also reveals how well did the phone perform on Geekbench. The Nubia Z17 managed to hit 1,853 points in the single-core benchmark, while it scored 6,379 points in the multi-core test. The Nubia Z17 is expected to be quite similar to the Nubia Z17 in terms of the design, so you can basically expect the phone to ship with a dual camera setup on the back, a metal body and a capacitive home key below the display, Nubia’s very well-known circular capacitive key. A fingerprint scanner will probably be placed on the back of the device, in case you were wondering. This smartphone will probably ship with Android Nougat out of the box, and on top of it, you’ll get Nubia’s custom UI, as per usual.
We still do not know when will the Nubia Z17 be announced, but we do expect the company to release it in the coming weeks. Chances are we’ll see more benchmark listings of the Nubia Z17 before the device land, while some additional specs and images of the phone might surface as well. The Nubia Z17 will be the company’s all-new flagship smartphone, and chances are it will be announced in China first, though the phone might get announced in some additional markets later on, we’ll see.
