The OPPO F3 has been leaking out for quite some time now, and the phone has just been announced by the company in India. We’ve seen a ton of leaks and rumors when it comes to the OPPO F3, and the company just confirmed quite a few of them actually. The OPPO F3 is a metal-clad handset, as expected, and it comes with a front-facing fingerprint scanner which doubles as a home key. This handset actually resembles OPPO’s previous offerings, as it is not exactly groundbreaking in terms of the design, but it seems like consumers like OPPO’s design choices, based on their sales, so there you have it.
The OPPO F3 features a 5.5-inch fullHD (1920 x 1080) In-Cell display with Corning’s Gorilla Glass 5 protection on top of it, while it packs in 4GB of RAM and 64GB of expandable native storage. MediaTek’s MT6750T 64-bit octa-core SoC fuels this handset, and it is clocked at 1.5GHz, while it comes with the Mali-T860 GPU for graphics. A 3,200mAh battery is also a part of this package, and it is not removable, in case you were wondering. A 13-megapixel shooter (1.12um pixel size, 1/3-inch sensor, PDAF) is placed on the back of this smartphone, while there are two camera sensors included on the front side of the OPPO F3. The device comes with 16-megapixel (f/2.0 aperture) and 8-megapixel front-facing snappers, which is why this phone is also referred to as the ‘selfie phone’, just like its predecessors. OPPO has included a ton of various camera features in this smartphone, which will let you spice up your photo-taking, Anti-Shake 2.0, Night Mode, and so on. It is also worth noting that the company also included Beautify 4.0 in this device, which is supposed to make sure your selfies look really good, and the phone’s 8-megapixel front-facing shooter packs in a wide-angle lens. This handset also offers two SIM card slots (2 x nano SIM), while it measures 153.29 x 75.24 x 7.3mm, and weighs 153 grams.
Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow comes pre-installed on the OPPO F3, and on top of it, you’ll be able to find the company’s custom UI called ColorOS 3.0. That being said, the OPPO F3 is priced at Rs. 19,990 ($311) in India, it comes in Gold and Rose Gold color variants, and you can now pre-order it from Flipkart and some offline stores in the country. The phone will be available for a pre-order until May 12, and you’ll be able to purchase it starting on May 13.
