What seems to be the Oppo F3, carrying the model number Oppo CPH1609, has made its way though both GFXBench and Geekbench. According to both benchmarks, the Oppo F3 will likely be powered by a MediaTek MT6750T, a Mediatek SoC composed of an octa-core ARM Cortex A53 CPU with four cores clocked at 1.5GHz and the other four clocked at 1.0GHz. The Oppo F3 will also likely have a 5.5-inch fullHD display, with the onscreen graphics being processed by an ARM Mali-T860 GPU in a dual-core configuration. It’s worth noting that the smartphone that was tested still runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow, though it is possible that the OS used when the unit was benchmarked may differ from what’s going to be shipped later on.
Both of the benchmarks point out that the Oppo F3 will likely ship with 4GB of RAM, with GFXBench adding that the smartphone will have 64GB of internal flash storage. GFXBench also notes that the Oppo F3 will likely have a 12-megapixel rear camera and a 16-megapixel front camera, though Oppo has announced that the Oppo F3 will have a dual front camera setup with a 16-megapixel and an 8-megapixel camera. Both the rear and front-facing cameras are also capable of 1080p video recording. The increased resolution of the front camera highlights one of the selling points of Oppo’s smartphone line, which targets smartphone users who love taking selfies. The GFXBench listing adds that the unit tested is a single-SIM device and that the Oppo F3 will likely not have NFC.
The specs of Oppo F3 listed on GFXBench and Geekbench slightly differ from what has been previously rumored, especially in terms of the processor and internal storage. Previous rumors stated that the smartphone will likely be powered by a Snapdragon 653 octa-core processor which is accompanied by the Adreno 510 GPU. In addition, the size of the internal flash storage of the Oppo F3 is two times larger than the previously rumored internal storage capacity of 32GB. The listing, however, corroborates with the previous rumors of the smartphone having 4GB of RAM and a 5.5-inch display, though it is not clear yet if the smartphone will indeed have an AMOLED panel. Given its less powerful hardware and smaller display size, the Oppo F3 is expected to be the lower-price counterpart of its bigger brother Oppo F3 Plus, which was launched on March 23rd in various regions around the globe.
