The OPPO R11 and OPPO R11 Plus handsets have been leaking out for a long time now, and it seems like at least one of them will be announced on June 10. OPPO has started releasing promo materials for this launch event on the company’s official Weibo (Chinese social network) page, and several of those promo images / videos show off a release date for the OPPO R11, though they do not mention whether both devices will arrive, or only one of them, but chances are we’ll see both announced on June 10.
Having said that, the company basically confirmed the design of the OPPO R11 in those promo videos, as they show it off from pretty much every angle, so you definitely won’t be surprised when it comes to its design. In one of its posts, the company even mentioned that the phone will be fueled by the Snapdragon 660 64-bit octa-core SoC, which is one of Snapdragon’s best mid-range processors currently available. The OPPO R11 will be made out of metal, and it will sport a dual camera setup on the back. The device will be made out of metal, and it will ship with a front-facing fingerprint scanner. Now, both the OPPO R11 and the OPPO R11 Plus got certified by TENAA (China’s equivalent to the FCC) a while back, and thanks to that listing, we know what to expect in the spec department as well.
The OPPO R11 will sport a 5.5-inch fullHD (1920 x 1080) AMOLED display, while the ‘Plus’ variant will come with a 6-inch fullHD panel. The OPPO R11 will pack in 4GB of RAM, along with 64GB of native storage, while its larger sibling will come with 6GB of RAM and also 64GB of internal storage. Android 7.1.1 Nougat will come pre-installed on these two phones, and on top of it, you’ll get OPPO’s Color OS skin. A 2,900mAh battery will be included on the inside of the OPPO R11, while you’ll be able to find a 3,880mAh unit in the OPPO R11 Plus.
