An unannounced Huawei phone has shown up on GFXBench with an octa-core CPU, specifically the HiSilicon Hi6250 processor with a clock frequency of 2.3GHz. The processor is accompanied by an ARM Mali-T830 GPU for the graphics processing according to the benchmark results, and it has 4GB of RAM as well as 64GB of internal storage space. There aren’t a whole lot of specs details on offer as this is a benchmark listing and they typically don’t carry much information when it comes to hardware, though they do give enough details to at least learn a little about the device.
In this particular case the phone appears to be mid-range, though it could be a more high-end product as well. Other than the CPU and GPU as well as RAM and storage information, the device comes with a 5-inch Full HD screen and it’s running on Android 7.0 Nougat with Huawei’s Emotion UI on top, at least that’s the case for this test and the software could be bumped to Android 7.1 by the time the phone launches. That said there is no indication that will happen and it could just as likely stick with what’s listed here.
In addition to the above-listed hardware specifications the phone will have a 12-megapixel rear-facing camera sensor with autofocus, face detection, LED Flash, and HDR options, and it will also have a 5-megapixel front-facing camera, and both front and rear cameras will be capable of video recording up to Full HD resolution. The phone also supports Wi-Fi and Bluetooth but not NFC, so that means it won’t be capable of being used for mobile payments. This isn’t the only device from Huawei to show up in benchmarks recently, as an Honor device named the DLI-TL20 has been benchmarked over at GFXBench recently as well, though there is no telling if this particular device is going to be branded by Huawei or Honor. Regardless of what branding the device gets, more details could surface in the near future that paint a more informative picture of what device this actually is, and perhaps more details will surface soon on the rest of the specs and features.
