Verizon Tablet At The FCC Could Be The ASUS ZenPad Z9

A Verizon tablet at the FCC could be the ASUS ZenPad Z9, though at the moment all there is to go off of is a model number and a diagram of the tablet design from the back of the device. The tablet in question is listed as the ASUS ZT582KL and clearly shows the Verizon logo at the bottom of the tablet’s back in the diagram, as well as a rear-facing camera in the top left corner of the device.

Although there is still no confirmation on this tablet model if it is the Z9 it would be a follow up to last year’s ZenPad Z8 that was announced for Verizon in June of 2016 which carried the model number ZT581KL. If this ends up being the case than the ASUS ZT582KL could be another mid-range tablet for Verizon though it would obviously have updated specifications that are more in line with what’s available for current devices this year. That being said there is no information listed along with the FCC image that describes what sort of hardware is being used for this upcoming tablet, so for now subscribers of the Verizon network or anyone that’s interested in it will simply be left to wonder and speculate about what kind of hardware ASUS has chosen to use for this device.

Judging from the Zenpad Z8 being a mid-range device and judging by the specs in it, it’s likely that ASUS could follow a similar pattern with an updated model, and use comparable hardware as well as a comparable price point for the tablet’s cost, though this particular detail will probably be dictated by Verizon themselves and not by ASUS, as is usually the case with carrier-branded devices. Verizon nor ASUS have yet to announce the ZenPad Z9 officially so there is still a possibility that this could be another tablet entirely. That being said it’s more likely that it’s a follow up to the ZenPad Z8 since the model number is mostly the same, and with it passing through the FCC it’s more likely that additional information about the tablet will surface soon.
