The Nubia Z17 has been one of the most leaked smartphones in the last couple of weeks, and one of the most popular footballers in the world, Cristiano Ronaldo, has just confirmed the design of Nubia’s upcoming flagship. Cristiano Ronaldo is actually Nubia’s brand ambassador, and he just posted a new image on Weibo (Chinese social media), revealing the design of the back side of the Nubia Z17, read on.
If you take a closer look at the provided image, you will be able to see that the back side of the phone is made out of glass, and that the device will ship with a dual camera setup, while its fingerprint scanner will also be placed on the back. Nubia’s logo is also easily visible here, and this is the blue variant of the device it seems. Truth be said, this design is kind of reminiscent of the Honor 8, which is not a bad thing, the phone actually looks quite sleek from the back. Now, this is the only image Cristiano Ronaldo shared, so we don’t really get to see the front side of the phone, but Nubia’s seemingly official promo image surfaced as well, and it’s giving us a rather good look at the front side of this phone. If you check out the second image down below, you will be able to see the leaked image, and as you can see, the Nubia Z17 has no bezel on the sides it seems, and its bezels above and below the display are not that thick at all. All the physical keys are placed on the right, and the company’s circular capacitive home key can be found below the display of this handset.
The Nubia Z17 popped up on AnTuTu earlier this month, and thanks to that listing, we now know what to expect in the spec department as well. The Nubia Z17 will be fueled by the Snapdragon 835 64-bit octa-core SoC, along with the Adreno 540 GPU for graphics. The device will ship with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage, though the company’s PR team actually suggested that an 8GB RAM variant might become available as well, which is quite interesting. It seems like the phone will sport 23-megapixel and 12-megapixel cameras on the back, at least according to the leaked image, and AnTuTu said that we can expect to see a fullHD display on this phone, probably a 5.5-inch panel. Android 7.1.1 Nougat will come pre-installed on the Nubia Z17, and on top of it, you’ll get the company’s custom UI.
