Front & Back Sides Of Meizu PRO 7 Leak, E-Ink Display In Tow

The Meizu PRO 7 has been leaking like crazy lately, and several new renders of the company’s upcoming flagship have just surfaced. If you take a look at the gallery down below, you’ll be able to see the phone’s rear-facing, secondary E-ink display yet again, and along with that, you’ll get a good look at the phone’s front side, both with its display powered on and powered off. These images actually go hand-in-hand with a number of leaks we’ve seen in the last couple of weeks, so who knows, maybe they’re even legit, read on.

Let’s talk about the phone’s back first, as you can see, the secondary E-ink display is placed right below the dual camera setup on this phone, while a dual-LED, dual-tone flash lies next to the two cameras. This secondary display will offer quite a bit of info to consumers it seems, as it will show you notifications, time, date, and so on. This is a new approach to secondary displays, that’s for sure, we’ve seen a number of phones that have the E-ink display on the back, their whole back side, though that’s not the case with this handset. Meizu’s branding is also placed on the back, and so are the phone’s antenna bands. Now, the company’s mBack multifunctional home key is back once again, and it will function as every other mBack key out there. You will be able to physically press this button in order for it to act as a home key, if you hit it as you would a capacitive key, it will act as a back button, while long pressing it will turn off the display. This will also be the phone’s fingerprint scanner, of course. The bezels on the sides of this phone are quite thin, though they’re there, while the device does sport some bezel above and below the display, we’re only hoping that black bars won’t be present around the display.

It is still unknown when this handset might launch, but pretty much everyone is expecting it to arrive in the coming weeks. The Meizu PRO 6 was announced back in April last year, so the Meizu PRO 7 was expected to land already, though that did not happen. This phone is expected to sport a 5.7-inch AMOLED display, along with 4GB or 6GB of RAM, while MediaTek’s Helio X30 64-bit deca-core SoC will probably fuel the phone.
