The HTC U11 was announced last month, after plenty of leaks and rumors about HTC’s latest flagship, and now the device is finally available to all. The HTC U11 is being sold unlocked via Amazon’s website, but it is also being sold by Sprint at their own website and in stores. The HTC U11 will cost you $649 outright. However Sprint is charging $696 for the HTC U11 outright, or $29/month for 24 months with $0 down. That’s actually the regular price of the U11, Amazon has it marked down $50 already.
HTC U11 is available in a few colors including Sapphire Blue, Amazing Silver and Brilliant Black. It sports a 5.5-inch Quad HD Super LCD5 display, powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor along with 4GB of RAM. There is also 64GB of storage available internally, with a micro SD card slot available for expanding the storage on the HTC U11. There’s a non-removable 3000mAh battery powering the HTC U11, along with Android Nougat on board. There’s also HTC Sense for some added features and such. One of the more interesting features on the HTC U11 is Edge Sense, which allows you to squeeze your smartphone to do different tasks, like calling a favorite contact or opening the camera. It’s something different, definitely, but it doesn’t appear to be getting as much attention as HTC had been hoping for.
Sprint, while offering a higher price on the U11, is offering up two free Amazon Echo Dots with the HTC U11. Now the reason for this promotion is the fact that HTC is adding Alexa to the U11. It isn’t available at launch, but it will be coming in a future update. Of course, there is also the Google Assistant included, in case that’s more your style. Amazon isn’t offering any freebies with the HTC U11 unfortunately. This model will work with GSM carriers like AT&T and T-Mobile though, which is great for those that are not on Sprint.
