It is time for a new Meizu PRO 7 leak which shows the bottom side of the upcoming flagship’s back panel and reveals the USB Type-C port along with 3.5mm headphone jack. This new leak about the next Meizu flagship is coming from Weibo, a Chinese social network, and home for most of the leaks related to the region. The image shows the Meizu PRO 7 in the Black color variant with vertically aligned Meizu branding marked on the right side of the phone. It also shows a speaker grill which suggests that the flagship is unlikely to feature dual speakers.
While this new leak does not reveal much about the device, it is good to know that Zhuhai, Guangdong-based OEM is quite unlikely to ditch the 3.5mm headphone jack like many others have done in the past. But as the smartphone has leaked on numerous occasions in the past, we do have a good idea of what to expect. The most interesting expected feature of the PRO 7 is undoubtedly the presence of a secondary display on its back panel. It is true that we have seen phones like YotaPhone with the display on the back but the major difference is that those phones have it on the whole back panel but with Meizu, it is a relatively smaller area. It has been spotted in renders and leaked cases so far but there are no words on what purpose(s) it would be serving.
As for technical specifications, the Meizu PRO 7 is expected to arrive with either 5.2 or 5.5-inch AMOLED display which is most likely to be Full HD resolution. It is rumored to be powered by the deca-core MediaTek Helio X30 processor but some believe that it could also be Samsung’s current flagship-level Exynos 8895 chipset. There are possibilities of featuring 4GB or 6GB of RAM, 64GB of internal storage, a 3000mAh battery, and Android 7.1 Nougat layered with Meizu’s own Flyme OS. Recently, a Meizu executive reacted to a couple of leaked renders by mentioning that the upcoming flagship will be ‘better, more elegant and beautiful’ than third-party renders. We can surely expect more information from the company in near future.
