Another Render Leaks For The Huawei Mate 10 Pro

Another render has leaked for the Huawei Mate 10 Pro thanks to Evan Blass who has posted an image of the phones on Twitter. This of course wouldn’t be the first leaked render for this upcoming device from Huawei, nor the first from Blass, who has posted an earlier leak of the phones from a different angle. These new images give a nice, up-close and high-resolution look at the device in its two available colors from a front-facing view, really showing off the detail in Huawei’s as usual very sleek design choices.

The Mate 10 Pro will come in both a Blue and what looks like a Copper color, and unlike many devices which offer a color on the back and sides of the device, the front of the phone matches the colors on the rest of the phone as opposed to using White or Black. This makes for a nice seamless design touch. With the front-facing view you also get a good look at the bezels on the display, or in this case the lack there of, as Huawei is clearly following along with this year’s trend of minimizing the bezels and maximizing the screen real estate without making the footprint of the actual phone body massive. That said it isn’t known exactly how big the phone itself will be.

Speaking of bezels, there are none on the sides as the display curves around and melts into the edges of the phone frame, and even the top and bottom bezels are almost non-existent, leaving just enough room for the Huawei branding on the bottom and enough room for the front-facing camera, ambient light sensor, and earpiece up on the top. The Mate 10 Pro is coming with Leica-enhanced cameras again, though this was probably expected by many consumers as Huawei has been partnering with Leica on a number of its handsets over the last year or two. The Mate 10 Pro is expected to be announced on October 16th alongside the Mate 10, both of which are rumored to be sort of pricey, but perhaps not as pricey as Samsung’s most recent flagship, the Galaxy Note 8. While the phones may be announced on October 16th, it’s still unclear where all the launch regions will be and what the launch date is.
