Arrow Launcher was originally released by the software company as one of its Microsoft Garage projects, which serves as an outlet for the firm’s employees who want to engage in experimental efforts. A personalized feed which shows the latest news, events, contacts, and documents on the home screen is still included in the app. Users can also customize the look of the launcher by changing its wallpaper, accent colors, and app icons. The launcher also sports a universal search bar that can be utilized to look for files and images stored by the device in addition to the web search results.
The new Continue on PC feature allows the user to capture images from a smartphone and then open the files on a personal computer running the Fall Creators Update of Windows 10, which is expected to be released on October 17th. It can also be used to continue editing a document on a PC after beginning to do so on a smartphone, although an Office 365 subscription might be necessary to fully take advantage of this feature. In this specific update, the app developers also noted that they have fixed software bugs that cause the app to crash and freeze, adding taht the double tap to lock the screen functionality has also been improved, while a new Timeout option has been added. The software is currently in beta although people may now join its Preview group to download and install the app. It is important to note that the launcher may still contain software bugs that may detract from the overall user experience.
