Google had introduced the Google Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL handsets earlier this month, and one the two devices are now available in the UK via EE. This UK carrier reached out to us to confirm that those of you who live in the UK can now purchase the Google Pixel 2 in-store, via tele-sales and also online via the company’s official website (source link down below). The company also shared some additional info regarding the Pixel 2’s availability, so read on if you’re interested.
EE confirmed that the Pixel 2 is available in Just Black, Clearly White and Kinda Blue color variants, and that both its 64GB and 128GB storage models can be purchased in the UK via the carrier. The Google Pixel 2 is also compatible with EE’s 4G + LTE-A Cat. 12 network, which will give you really high 4G LTE speeds. There are various tariffs available from EE, which you can choose from, but the company emphasizes its 4GEE Max plan, through which, you can get the Google Pixel 2 for £9.99 on a £47.99 a month, though you’ll have to sign a contract for 24 months, of course. As part of the 4GEE Max plan, you will get unlimited minutes, unlimited texts and 8GB of data. More affordable tariffs will increase the monthly payments for the device itself, of course, and you can check them all out via the source link, which is located down below. It’s also worth noting that the Google Pixel 2 XL will become available from EE on November 15.
The Google Pixel 2 is quite similar to the Google Pixel 2 XL, but it comes with larger bezels, smaller display and a smaller battery. The Pixel 2, however, comes with most of the same internals as the Google Pixel 2 XL, save for the ones we’ve mentioned, of course. The device is made out of metal, with a hint of glass on the back. The phone sports a rear-facing fingerprint scanner, and a 5-inch fullHD (1920 x 1080) AMOLED display. The phone packs in 4GB of RAM and 64GB / 128GB of non-expandable storage. A rather capable 12.2-megapixel shooter is placed on the back of the Pixel 2, while you will find an 8-megapixel snapper on the phone’s front side. Android 8.0 Oreo comes pre-installed on the Pixel 2, while the device is also IP67 certified for water and dust resistance.
