Google had introduced its Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL smartphones during its press conference yesterday, and those of you who live in India will be glad to know that both devices will come to the country in the near future. Having said that, both phones will be available via online and offline channels, the Google Pixel will go on sale starting on November 1, while its larger sibling, the Pixel 2 XL, will become available on November 15. Google also mentioned that both phones will be available in 1000+ stores across India. Now, if you’re looking to pre-order either of these two devices, you should know that the pre-order will kick off on October 26.
Now, as far as pricing is concerned, most of you are probably aware that Google introduced 64GB and 128GB storage variants of both the Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL, well, all of those variants will be available in India. The 64GB storage model of the Google Pixel 2 is priced at Rs. 61,000 ($950), while its 128GB storage model will set you back Rs. 70,000 ($1,075). Now, as far as its sibling is concerned, its 64GB and 128GB storage variants are priced at Rs. 73,000 ($1,122) and Rs. 82,000 ($1,260) in India. Do keep in mind that you won’t be able to purchase either of these devices through the Google Store in India, as Flipkart will be an exclusive retailer for that Asian country. That being said, the Google Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL are somewhat different in terms of the design this time around, the smaller Pixel 2 handset comes with more bezel than the larger model, but it’s still quite compact thanks to its 5-inch display. The Pixel 2 XL, on the other hand, comes with relatively thin bezels, but it sports a 6-inch panel.
The Google Pixel 2 sports a 5-inch fullHD AMOLED display, while the Pixel 2 XL comes with a 6-inch QHD+ pOLED panel. Both phones are made out of metal and glass, and both of them ship with a rear-facing fingerprint scanner. A 12.2-megapixel snapper is placed on the back of both of these devices, and that camera actually managed to grab a score of 98 on DxOMark, which managed to get a lot of people hyped up for it. Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 835 64-bit octa-core SoC fuels both of these devices, and both of them ship with 4GB of RAM on the inside.
