Honor 6C Pro Manual Published Ahead Of The Phone's Launch

German and Italian divisions of Honor published the user manual for the Honor 6C Pro earlier this week despite the fact that the handset has yet to be officially announced by the Chinese original equipment manufacturer. The smartphone is expected to be an upgraded version of the original Honor 6C that the company released this spring and may be related to the newly unveiled Honor V9 Play which debuted in China in September. However, some of their internal specifications don’t match, indicating that the Honor 6C Pro isn’t just a rebranded version of the V9 Play.

The user manual itself can be downloaded by referring to the source link below and doesn’t reveal many new details about the handset, save for confirming that it runs some variant of Android Nougat out of the box, enhanced with Huawei’s proprietary mobile software suite in the form of EMUI 5. The manual also contains one render of the phone alongside a TV that can be seen above, suggesting that the smartphone will feature regularly sized bezels and ship without a physical Home button, not unlike the newly announced Google Pixel 2. The image accompanies the description of the handset’s ability to mirror the contents of its screen to a compatible TV using a dedicated mobile app, which is a relatively common feature of contemporary Android devices. The Honor 6C Pro that’s set to be sold in Germany, Italy, and presumably some other European countries will carry the model number JMM-L22, the same manual reveals. The device will also sport a fingerprint sensor mounted on its rear panel, with at least one of its variants being set to offer a Hybrid SIM setup, allowing users to choose between having two nano SIM cards or just one of them accompanied by a microSD card with a capacity of up to 256GB.

According to previous rumors, the Honor 6C Pro will compete in the mid-range segment and boast Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 425 SoC, as well as 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal flash memory. A 5.2-inch Full HD screen is also said to be part of the package, and the same goes for a 13-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel secondary sensor. Honor’s parent company has a major product event scheduled for the Mate 10 series on October 16th, though the 6C Pro is unlikely to be announced on that occasion and it remains to be seen when exactly will the device debut in Europe.
