Honor has just announced a new smartphone in China, the Honor 7X. This handset got certified by TENAA (China’s equivalent to the FCC) quite recently, while it also popped up on Geekbench. The Honor 7X is now official, and most of the leaked info was spot on. The device is made out of metal, and it comes with a rear-facing fingerprint scanner, while it also sports a dual camera setup on its back. You will notice the ‘Honor’ branding below the phone’s display, and also on its back, while the phone also sports really thin bezels.

The Honor 7X comes with a 5.93-inch fullHD+ (2160 x 1080) display, which means that it sports an 18:9 aspect ratio. The device is fueled by the Kirin 659 64-bit octa-core processor, which is clocked at 2.36GHz, while the Mali-T830 MP2 GPU is also a part of this package, and is in charge of graphics processing. The Honor 7X comes with 4GB of RAM, and it launched in three storage variants, the phone comes in 32GB, 64GB and 128GB internal storage models, while you can expand that storage by using the microSD card (expandable up to 256GB). On the back of this phone, you’ll be able to find 16 and 2-megapixel shooters, while an 8-megapixel camera is included on the front side of the Honor 7X. Interestingly enough, the Honor 7X also offers 3D surround sound, which is something not many people expected. A 3,340mAh non-removable battery is also a part of this package, and the company claims that it can provide you with up to 21 hours of talk time. This handset also offers support for fast charging, Huawei’s SuperCharge fast charging tech is included here, and the 9V/2A (18W) power adapter is also included in the box.

The Honor 7X is IP67 certified for water and dust resistance, while it comes with Android 7.1 Nougat out of the box, Huawei’s Emotion UI (EMUI) is included on top of Google’s OS. The Honor 7X also comes with two SIM card slots, we’re looking at a hybrid setup here, which means you can use the second SIM card slot in order to insert a microSD card for storage expansion. The Honor 7X comes in Aurora Blue, Midnight Black and Platinum Gold color variants. The 32GB storage model of the Honor 7X is priced at 1,299 Yuan ($197) in China, while the 64GB and 128GB storage models cost 1,699 Yuan ($258) and 1,999 Yuan ($304), respectively.
