Huawei Mate 10 Lite Android Mid-Ranger Leaks With A Price

Huawei’s Mate 10 Lite leaked in ten renders with a price tag after the handset was prematurely listed by Dutch online retailer Belsimpel earlier today. The Android-powered smartphone will apparently be priced at €349 in the Netherlands, which translates to approximately $413. Its price tag may vary in other European countries based on their exact value-added tax rates but in overall, the device will apparently compete in the upper mid-range segment of the market and also be available on plans from at least three wireless carriers in the Netherlands – Hollands Nieuwe, Telfort, and Vodafone.

The Mate 10 Lite is shown as being nearly bezel-less and featuring a 5.9-inch LCD panel with a Full HD+ resolution of 2,160 by 1,080 pixels amounting to a tall aspect ratio of 18:9, i.e. 2:1. It’s powered by the HiSilicon Kirin 659 SoC boasting eight cores clocked at 2.3GHz, in addition to featuring 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal flash memory expandable via a microSD card slot by up to 256GB. A 3.5mm audio jack also seems to be part of the package here, together with a microUSB port and Bluetooth 4.2 support. The Mate 10 Lite features NFC and A-GPS compatibility and a 3,340mAh battery which isn’t removable but comes with fast charging capabilities. Huawei’s new mid-ranger runs Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box enhanced with the company’s proprietary mobile software suite in the form of EMUI 6, the listing reveals. Its aluminum body will only be available in black and gold at launch, accommodating a dual-camera setup entailing a 16-megapixel sensor and a 2-megapixel one accompanied by a dual-LED flash, whereas its slim top bezel will sport an 8-megapixel module backed by another 2-megapixel sensor. The rear plate of the handset also houses a circular fingerprint sensor and Huawei’s regular branding, as seen in the images below.

The Mate 10 Lite sold in Europe will be of the dual-SIM variety and a blue model of the mid-ranger is planned for a release at a later date. The smartphone will become available for purchase in late October, the source suggests. Huawei is set to officially announce the Mate 10 Lite and other members of its new Android lineup on Monday, October 16th.
