The OPPO F5 had surfaced quite a few times thus far, the device popped up in a number of real life images, and the phone’s specs have just appeared as well. These specs have been provided by a Philippines-based online retailer, and even though we cannot confirm how legit the info is, the phone will launch in the Philippines first. This leak actually shared quite a few info regarding the phone, and before we get into it, it’s worth noting that the OPPO F5 is scheduled to arrive on October 26.
Now, if the provided info is accurate, the OPPO F5 will sport a 6-inch IPS LCD display, though the resolution was not shared by the source. This will probably be a fullHD+ display, which means it will come with a 2160 x 1080 resolution. This leak does not mention which SoC will fuel this phone, though rumors think it will be one of Qualcomm’s mid-range processors, the Snapdragon 660 maybe. Two 12-megapixel snappers will be included on the front side of the OPPO F5, according to this leak, and a single 20-megapixel shooter will be available on its back. The device will also arrive with a 4,000mAh non-removable battery, while a 3.5mm headphone jack will be a part of the package as well. Android 7.0 Nougat will come pre-installed on the phone, while the company’s ColorOS skin will be included on top of it. Interestingly enough, the source claims that we’ll get a microUSB 2.0 port on the bottom of this phone, while you will be able to expand the phone’s internal storage by using a microSD card (up to 256GB) This handset will offer 4G LTE connectivity, and it will arrive with two SIM card slots (2x nano SIM).
That is more or less all the info that was shared by the source, and if the previously leaked images are accurate, the device will have really thin bezels. Now, interestingly enough, the OnePlus 5T / 6 is also rumored to be based on the OPPO F5’s design, and it is expected to arrive in November. OPPO is actually expected to release several OPPO R11s-branded phones in the near future as well, as those devices have been certified quite recently, so the company will be rather busy towards the end of the year.
