Xiaomi had recently teased its arrival to Spain, though, at the time, we had no idea when that might happen, well, that has just changed. Xiaomi’s Senior Vice President, Wang Xiang, has just confirmed via its official Twitter page that Xiaomi is coming to Spain on November 7. Xiaomi will host a press event on that date, and will make Spain the first country in Western Europe that Xiaomi is officially coming to.
Xiaomi is selling its smartphones in a number of markets around the world, but the company is still mainly focused on Asia. Xiaomi has enjoyed great success in India this year, as its sales in the third quarter alone rose 290 percent compared to the same period last year, and it seems like the company is slowly, but surely, reaching other markets. Xiaomi is probably trying not to overexpand, as it may focus similar issues to LeEco, a very well-known company which is currently facing serious financial issues, mainly because they wanted to do too much in a short period of time. In any case, chances are that Xiaomi will start officially selling its products via its official website in Spain, unless the company decides to partner up with some of Spain’s retailers, we’ll see. It’s quite likely that users in Spain will be able to purchase now only Xiaomi’s accessories, but also a number of the company’s smartphones soon after the event ends on November 7.
Xiaomi had introduced a number of smartphones this year, along with various other gadgets, though not every single product that is available in China will be made available in Spain, of course. Chances are that Spanish users will be able to purchase some of the company’s more popular devices, though, like the Xiaomi Mi 6, for example, and perhaps even the Xiaomi Mi MIX 2 ‘bezel-less’ flagship phablet that was announced not long ago. The Xiaomi Mi Note 3 is yet another phone that may become available, and the same can be said for the company’s mid-range phablet, the Xiaomi Mi Max 2. We can only guess at this point, but the company will share far more info in less than two weeks, so stay tuned for that.
