Razer had introduced its first ever smartphone earlier today, called the Razer Phone. This is a premium smartphone which is aimed at heavy users and gamers, and we’ve already talked about it in our official announcement, but it’s time to take a closer look at the phone’s availability. To be more specific, we’re looking at the phone’s availability outside of the US here, as Razer did announce some basic info about that thus far, read on.
Those of you who are interested in getting the Razer Phone should know that the device will become available in the US and Europe at first, and the device is already available for pre-order. If you’d like to wait for it to become available for purchase, mark down November 17, as that is the date that it will go on sale, and presumably the date when Razer intends to start shipping Razer Phones to users who pre-ordered them. The device is priced at $699 in the US, while it costs €699 in Europe, and you’ll be able to purchase it via ‘Three’, a Europe-based carrier, as Three acquired exclusive right to sell this smartphone in Europe, you won’t even be able to purchase it via Razer directly. This essentially means that the Razer Phone will be available in all European countries that Three is active in, including Ireland, United Kingdom, Italy, Sweden, and Denmark. More Europe-related info is expected to appear in the near future, and the same can be said for the Razer Phone’s availability in some other markets, like in Asia, for example, as Razer did not share any such info during its press conference today.
Now, as far as the device itself is concerned, the Razer Phone sports a boxy design, and it has rather sharp edges. Razer opted for an industrial build here, and inside of this body, you’ll find a set of high-end specifications. The Razer Phone sports a 5.72-inch IGZO LCD QHD (2560 x 1440) Ultramotion display, while the phone comes with 8GB of RAM and 64GB of expandable native storage. Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 835 64-bit octa-core processor fuels this smartphone, while the company decided to include a 4,000mAh non-removable battery on the inside of the Razer Phone. Two 12-megapixel shooters are included on the back of this smartphone, while Android 7.1.1 Nougat comes pre-installed on this smartphone.
