Specifications: HTC U11 Life

HTC’s U11 Plus flagship was announced earlier today, along with another phone, the HTC U11 Life. The HTC U11 Life is the company’s new mid-range handset, and interestingly enough, it comes in two variants, one variant comes with HTC’s Sense UI on top of Android, while the other one is a part of Google’s Android One project, which means it ships with stock Android. Having said that, we’ve already talked about this phone in our main announcement, and it’s time to take a closer look at its spec sheet, read on.

The HTC U11 Life is made out of metal and glass, while it sports three capacitive keys below its display, and it comes with a front-facing fingerprint scanner. The HTC U11 Life is more compact than the HTC U11 Plus, as it sports a 5.2-inch fullHD (1920 x 1080, 424 ppi) Super LCD display, which is protected by a sheet of Gorilla Glass 3 protection. The device comes in two RAM variants, 3GB and 4GB RAM models are available, and they ship with 32GB and 64GB of expandable storage, respectively. Having said that, the North American model comes with 3GB of RAM and 64GB of storage, while both variants will be available on a global scale (outside of North America). It’s also worth noting that the Android One model will not reach North America, instead, the variant with HTC’s Sense UI will be available in that region. Speaking of which, the Android One variant of the phone ships with stock Android 8.0 Oreo out of the box, while the regular variant of the phone comes with Android 7.1 Nougat, though Android 8.0 Oreo is expected to land in November, says HTC.

The HTC U11 Life (all variants) is fueled by the Snapdragon 630 64-bit octa-core SoC, and a 2,600mAh non-removable battery is also included in this package, and it comes with Quick Charge 3.0 fast charging. The HTC U11 Life sports a 16-megapixel camera (BSI sensor, f/2.0 aperture, PDAF) on the back, while a 16-megapixel snapper (different sensor it seems) is included on the front side as well (f/2.0 aperture). The phone offers support for 4G LTE with VoLTE, you’re getting Cat. 9 LTE here, which means you’ll be able to reach download speeds of up to 450Mbps and upload speeds up to 50Mbps. Bluetooth 5.0 is included in this package, and so is USB Type-C (2.0). The HTC U11 Life is IP67 certified for water and dust resistance, while the phone comes with HTC USonic with Active Noise Cancellation, high resolution audio recording and Hi-Res audio certification. The HTC U11 Life measures 149.09 x 72.9 x 8.1mm, and weighs 142 grams.
