A series of photos portraying an alleged protective case for the upcoming Meizu M6s emerged on the web earlier today, and unsurprisingly the case’s design corresponds confirms various design characteristics seen in several previous leaks pertaining to the device. The clear case at hand not only reveals the placement of all connectors, buttons, and main camera module but also reconfirms the location of the fingerprint sensor on the right edge of the phone, lending further credibility to reports claiming that the handset will lack a traditional mBack multifunctional button.
Throughout the previous leaks, the Meizu M6s managed to conceal its back panel for the most part, except for when the device was spotted wearing a black coat of paint several weeks ago. Having said that, the more recent images indirectly confirm that the device will have a single main camera sensor coupled with an LED flash, though Meizu is rumored to be working on another smartphone employing a dual camera combo as well. More to the matter at hand, the M6s is expected to carry a 13-megapixel main sensor coupled with a 5-megapixel unit at the front, and the clear case also presents a cutout for a 3.5mm headphone jack, a power button right above the fingerprint indentation, and a volume rocker on the opposite edge.
There’s not much else to be said regarding the Meizu M6s in light of this recent leak, but recent reports suggest that the Chinese OEM may officially introduce the device in January so whatever other mysteries it might yet hold will become known soon. Meizu enthusiasts should look forward to a full-screen design with rounded display corners and a resolution of 1440 x 720 on a 5.7-inch screen, as well as a metal unibody that should be offered in at least two color choices, i.e. black and gold. The device is expected to employ an upcoming chipset manufactured by Samsung on a 14nm process, namely the Exynos 7872, and its CPU should be paired with 3GB of RAM. Also worth noting is that the device might be part of Meizu’s MBLU division – previously known as Charm Blue – as hinted by the presence of an MBLU logo on the smartphone’s lower back panel seen in a recent hands-on video.
