The Samsung Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9 Plus are expected to launch in a couple of months, and a new image just leaked, showing the alleged Galaxy S9 back cover. In addition to this image, a hands-on video surfaced as well, and it’s showing off the alleged Galaxy S9 Plus handset prototype, and its dual camera setup. Having said that, the Galaxy S9 is rumored to sport a single main camera with a fingerprint scanner which is placed right below it, while the Galaxy S9 Plus is expected to arrive with a dual camera setup on the back, while a fingerprint scanner will be placed below those two cameras, of course.
This info had been confirmed, sort of, in a couple of images that leaked thus far. If you take a look at the newly-leaked image, you will see a cutout for the camera and a fingerprint scanner on the back cover, while cutout for an LED flash and quite probably a heart rate sensor are placed next to the camera cutout. Samsung’s logo is imprinted on the back as well, as you can see. The video actually shows off the front side of the alleged Galaxy S9 Plus unit, as you can see, it resembles the Galaxy S8 quite a bit. Its bezels are quite thin, while its display is curved on the sides. The power / lock key is placed on the right-hand side of the phone, while the volume up, volume down and Bixby buttons are located on the left. The Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9 Plus will be made out of metal and glass, once again, while they will probably look identical one compared to the other, save for the camera setups, of course.
The Galaxy S9 is rumored to sport a 5.8-inch QHD+ Infinity display once again, and the Galaxy S9 Plus is expected to land with a 6.2-inch QHD+ Infinity panel. The two phones will probably ship in two processors variants, each of these phones will be available in both Snapdragon and Exynos variants, as were their predecessors. The Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9 Plus will ship with 4GB or 6GB of RAM, while a battery larger than 3,000mAh will be included in each of these smartphones, quite probably. Android Oreo will come pre-installed on the Galaxy S9 and S9 Plus, while you’ll be able to find Samsung’s custom UI on top of Google’s OS.
