Moto G5S Plus Permanently Discounted In India, Costs $235

Motorola has just announced a permanent price cut for the Moto G5S Plus in India. The device was announced in India four months ago, and the company just said that the phone’s price dropped down to Rs. 14,999 ($235), which makes it an even more compelling budget smartphone in the second-largest smartphone market. The Moto G5S Plus actually follows Xiaomi Mi A1’s lead, which got permanently discounted a couple of weeks ago.

Now, as far as availability goes, the Moto G5S Plus is available from Amazon India, as well as Moto Hub stores across the country. The device comes in Lunar Gray and Blush Gold color variants, and those are the only two variants this phone was announced in on a general basis. The Moto G5S Plus handset was originally announced in August, and it is made out of metal, while it sports a front-facing fingerprint scanner. The phone also comes with a recognizable ‘oreo’ camera setup on the back, which contains two cameras, an LED flash, and protrudes on the back a bit. All of the phone’s physical keys can be found on the right, while a SIM card tray sits on the left-hand side of this smartphone. The Moto G5S Plus does not exactly sport thin bezels, its bezels are quite thick, actually, but the phone looks rather nice regardless, though that’s a matter of preference, as per usual. The Moto G5S Plus is a mid-range smartphone, not only based on its price point, but also its specifications.

The Moto G5S Plus is fueled by the Snapdragon 625 64-bit octa-core processor, while it sports a 5.5-inch fullHD (1920 x 1080) display. The device comes with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of expandable internal storage, while a 3,000mAh non-removable battery is also a part of this package, not to mention that it supports Motorola’s Turbo Charging. Two 13-megapixel shooters are included on the back of the Moto G5S Plus, while a single 8-megapixel camera can be found on the phone’s front side. Android 7.1 Nougat comes pre-installed on the Moto G5S Plus, while the phone sports a water-repellent nano-coating as well. The device weighs 168 grams, and it measures 8mm without the camera ‘oreo’, if you count that in, you end up with a 9.5mm thick smartphone.
