The Uhans i8 has been available for pre-order since the end of last month, and while we’re waiting for the units to start shipping to consumers, Uhans has released a new promo video for this smartphone. This promo video will show you how to set up the phone’s face recognition feature, and how you’re supposed to set it up. Face recognition aka facial recognition is a feature that has been available in a number of phones thus far, and if you’d like to know more about the Uhans’ take on it, watch the video down below.
Now, the first thing you need to do is locate the app called ‘Face Recognition’ on the phone, which will essentially open the ‘Face recognition management’ menu and options within it. In that menu, you let the phone scan your face, and four additional people can do the same, as this phone lets you scan up to 5 different faces. That being said, Uhans says that it takes less than 0.1s for the phone to scan your face and lets you access the phone, and in order to do that, the phone uses the front-facing camera. The iPhone X does not come with a fingerprint scanner, but that’s not the case with the Uhans i8, this smartphone, much like the OnePlus 5T, not only comes with the face recognition feature, but it also sports a fingerprint scanner, which is located on the back side of this handset. The Uhans i8 lets you utilize on-screen buttons in order to navigate through its software, and even though this phone doesn’t have extremely thin bezels, its bezels are not exactly thick either.
As far as specs are concerned, the Uhans i8 features a 5.7-inch HD+ (1440 x 720) display, which means we’re looking at an 18:9 display aspect ratio here. The phone packs in 4GB of RAM and 64GB of expandable storage, while it is fueled by the MediaTek MT6750T 64-bit octa-core processor. Android 7.0 Nougat comes pre-installed on the phone, while a 3,500mAh non-removable battery is also included in this package. A Type-C USB port is placed at the bottom of the phone, and an 8-megapixel snapper can be found on the phone’s front-facing. The Uhans i8 features 16 and 3-megapixel shooters on its back, the power / lock key is placed on the right-hand side of its body, while you’ll find volume up and volume down keys on the left. The Uhans i8 is currently available for pre-order for $139.99 at Geekbuying, while the pre-order period ends in a couple of days.
