The Xiaomi Mi 6X had surfaced yesterday in two real life images, and now an additional image has popped up. If you take a look at the provided image above, you’ll be able to see the Xiaomi Mi 6X in a new color variant. This is yet another real life image of the device, and it shows us identical design to yesterday’s leak, and a number of leaks which arrived before it, which more or less confirms (unofficially, of course) that this is the upcoming XIaomi Mi 6X.
As you can see, the phone will be made out of metal, while it will sport an iPhone X-like camera setup on the back. This handset will arrive with a vertically aligned dual camera setup, which will sport an LED flash in-between them. A rear-facing fingerprint scanner is also included in this package, while the company’s logo sits on the back of this phone as well. The phone’s antenna bands are also visible in this image, and you can also see that all of its physical keys are included on the right, which almost certainly means that a SIM card tray sits on the left. We do not really get to see the phone’s front side here, but yesterday’s leak confirmed that the Mi 6X will sport considerably thinner bezels than the Mi 5X, and it will resemble the Redmi 5 and Redmi 5 Plus in that regard it seems.
This smartphone, according to a recent rumor, will be fueled by the company’s upcoming processor, the Surge S2, which is the same SoC that will fuel the Xiaomi Mi A2 once it launches. Chances are that the Mi 6X and Mi A2 will look the same, and sport the same specifications, though their pre-installed software will be different. The Mi 6X will ship with Xiaomi’s MIUI 9 skin on top of Android, while the Mi A2 will be Xiaomi’s second-gen Android One phone, which means it will ship with stock Android. The Xiaomi Mi 5X arrive in July last year, so chances are that the Mi 6X will arrive in mid-2018, unless Xiaomi changes its mind and opts to introduce this smartphone earlier than expected.
