LG has just announced a new smartphone in South Korea, the LG X4 Plus. The LG X4 Plus is the newest addition to the company’s ‘X series’ of smartphones, and this handset comes with a MIL-STD-810G rating, which essentially means it can withstand vibration, impact, low temperature, high temperature, thermal shock, and humidity. Now, on top of that, LG has also included a dedicated DAC (Digital to Analog Converter) into this handset, DAC for a Hi-Res 32-bit 192kHz audio, which is yet another standout feature of this smartphone.
The LG X4 Plus does not exactly sport thin bezels, it looks more like a regular smartphone, as you can see in the provided images, and it comes with a rear-facing fingerprint scanner. Its loudspeaker is also placed on the back of this phone, and a single camera is available on the back as well. This is an entry-level smartphone, basically, as it is fueled by the Snapdragon 425 64-bit quad-core processor which comes with the Adreno 308 GPU, and the rest of its specifications also fit the bill. The LG X4 Plus comes with a 5.3-inch HD (1280 x 720) IPS display, so it sports a regular 16:9 display aspect ratio. The device comes with 2GB of LPDDR3 RAM and 32GB of expandable storage. Android 7.0 Nougat comes pre-installed on the LG X4 Plus, while on top of it you will be able to find LG’s custom UI. A 13-megapixel shooter (77-degree wide-angle lens) is placed on the back of the phone, while a 5-megapixel camera (100-degree wide-angle lens) sits on the front side of this phone.
This smartphone comes with support for LG Pay, while a 3.5mm headphone jack is also included. FM Radio chip is available on the device, and a 3,000mAh battery is included here to keep the lights on. Bluetooth 4.2 is included in the package as well, and so is NFC, in case you were wondering. The device measures 148.6 x 75.1 x 8.6mm, while it weighs 172.3 grams. The LG X4 Plus comes in Moroccan Blue and Lavender Violet color variants, while it is priced at 300,000 won in Korea, which translates to $282. The phone is still not available for purchase, but it will be later this month via three major carriers in the country. Chances are that this phone will not become available outside of Korea, but if anything changes, you’ll be the first to know.
