Moto E5 Fingerprint Sensor Shows On Back In New Image

The Moto E5 fingerprint sensor shows on the back in a newly leaked image, sitting in the same location where the Motorola batwing logo is on current and past Moto series devices. In addition to the Moto E5’s fingerprint sensor being on the back instead of on the front of the device, the phone has a metal frame and what looks like a unibody design which could mean that the device has a fully metal body as well and not just the metal frame.

The Moto E5 in the image comes in a Gold color, which has been a common color for devices the last couple of years. Motorola has also used Gold for other past devices like the Moto G5 and Moto G5 Plus. This is reportedly the first leaked image of the Moto E5 to have surfaced on the web, so there’s no indication of whether or not Motorola will launch the device in any other colors. That said, Motorola hasn’t released just one color for its series of phones for a while, so chances are there will be other color options like black, silver, or dark gray just to name a few possible examples.

Although there hasn’t been much detail about the Moto E5 yet, there have been a few rumors about the phone thus far. According to past rumors Motorola has plans to launch the phone in a Play and Plus version, which might mean there will be three different models of the phone, labeled as the Moto E5, the Moto E5 Plus, and the Moto E5 Play. In regards to the rest of the design, the phone has the larger rear-facing camera module setup with an LED flash, and it appears Motorola has implemented an LED flash for the front-facing camera as well. Not much is known or rumored yet about the specs of the Moto E5 but there are a few key details about the specs that have been mentioned along with this leaked image. For example, the phone is rumored to come with a micro USB port instead of a USB Type-C port, and it’s also rumored to come powered by a MediaTek processor, and a 3.5mm audio port that would be located on the top part of the frame.
