Smaller TAG Heuer Connected 41 Smartwatch Has 8GB Of Storage

TAG Heuer is re-imagining is fancy Connected Modular 45 smartwatch from last year, introducing the new Connected Modular 41, which is smaller and with better specs all around. The Connected Modular 45 unveiled back in March 2017 was already quite powerful, but people with smaller wrists may have found it too large and bulky. As the name itself suggests, the watch had a 45mm size. The company promised to release a smaller version and it’s now finally making good on its word with the latest Connected Modular 41, which measures 41mm in size. A 39mm version was expected yet never arrived, but 41mm is still a good downsize from the 45mm model.

The latest TAG Heuer Connected Modular 41 Android Wear smartwatch comes with some notable improvements compared to its predecessor, including a higher pixel density of 326 ppi instead of the 287 ppi one of the 45mm model. It also comes with 1GB of RAM and 8GB of native storage space, doubling the RAM and storage of its predecessor. The new smartwatch retains the built-in GPS and water resistance up to 50 meters, and sports NFC for various features such as contactless payments via Android Pay. Customizable TAG Heuer dials are also available, as are various options for lugs, straps, and more. Users can even replace the Connected core with a Calibre 5 mechanical module if they want to further customize their style and experience.

Interested customers can choose from seven standard models of the Connected Modular 41 smartwatch, with customizable straps and lugs. TAG Heuer is offering nine strap color options, including new options such as white, blue, and pink leather bands. The new smartwatch starts at $1,200, but the price can get significantly higher depending on options. TAG Heuer says that it worked with Google and Intel for its latest smartwatch, and the device is compatible with devices running Android 4.4 and newer, and iOS 9 or later. The company highlights that supported features may vary depending on platform. The company is showcasing its entire TAH Heuer collection during the Geneva Days 2018 between January 15 and January 18 from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., and from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. on January 19.
