The Meizu M6S had leaked quite a few times in the last couple of weeks, and the company had released several new teasers in the last couple of days. Before we start talking about those teasers, it’s worth noting that the phone will launch on January 17, which is something Meizu confirmed earlier this month. Having said that, if you take a look at the gallery down below, you will be able to spot three new images that Meizu shared, which are essentially new teasers for the upcoming device, read on.
The first teaser that surfaced actually suggested that the device will ship with an in-display fingerprint scanner. Now, if there were another way to explain this image, we would, but it’s an image of a phone with a fingerprint scanner on its front panel. The Meizu M6S almost certainly won’t ship with a front-facing, capacitive fingerprint scanner, so an in-display fingerprint scanner is a possibility, especially if you considering a recent leak (real life video) which showed off the alleged Meizu M6S with a working in-display fingerprint scanner. Vivo actually showed off its upcoming smartphone with an in-display fingerprint scanner at this year’s Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas, and if the Meizu M6S ends up sporting a fingerprint scanner, it will be that very same model, provided by Synaptics. The second teaser shares some SoC hints (Cortex-A73), while the third one basically reveals that the phone will sport on-screen navigation keys. This smartphone will almost certainly be fueled by the Exynos 7872 64-bit hexa-core SoC from Samsung, which is made out of four Cortex-A53 cores, and two Cortex-A73 cores, which is why Meizu released the ‘Cortex-A73’ teaser image.
Meizu had also confirmed that the Meizu M6S will sport an 18:9 display, and if TENAA (China’s equivalent to the FCC) is to be believed, we’re looking at a 5.7-inch panel here. The phone is expected to arrive in both 3GB and 4GB RAM variants, and a 13-megapixel snapper will be included on its back. A 2,930mAh non-removable battery will be a part of the package as well, and it will support Meizu’s mCharge fast charging. The device will sport really thin bezels, and its display will arrive with rounded corners it seems. The Meizu M6S will be made out of metal, in case you were wondering, at least if leaked images are to be believed.
