UMIDIGI has just revealed a spec sheet for its upcoming smartphone, the UMIDIGI S2 Lite. Some of you probably remember that UMIDIGI revealed two ‘S2’ smartphones in the last couple of months, the UMIDIGI S2 and S2 Pro. Well, the UMIDIGI S2 Lite is a new phone which is inferior to both the UMIDIGI S2 and S2 Pro, but it’s also more affordable. As you can see in the provided images, this phone looks basically like the UMIDIGI S2, and it even sports the same display as the UMIDIGI S2.
The UMIDIGI S2 Lite is made out of metal, it comes with a rear-facing fingerprint scanner, and a dual camera setup which is placed above that fingerprint sensor. The phone comes with a curved back side, and even though it may seem like its display is curved, if you’re looking at the provided renders, it’s not, but the bezels are quite thin, though. This smartphone comes with a 5,100mAh non-removable battery, which is quite a beefy battery for any phone, let alone a phone with an entry-level SoC and an HD+ display, such as the UMIDIGI S2 Lite. This handset is fueled by the MediaTek MT6750T 64-bit octa-core processor, while it comes with 4GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. Android 7.0 Nougat comes pre-installed on the phone, while this handset sports a 6-inch HD+ (1440 x 720) display which is provided by Sharp.
On the back of the UMIDIGI S2 Lite, you will find 16 and 5-megapixel cameras, we’re looking at OmniVision’s sensors here. A 5-megapixel snapper lies on the front side of the device, while the UMIDIGI S2 Lite also offers two SIM card slots (2x nano SIM), one of which you can use in order to expand the phone’s storage via a microSD card. The UMIDIGI S2 Lite will be available in Black and Red color variants, while the phone will weigh 186 grams, and be 8.8mm thick.
