The UMIDIGI Z2 is on the way, it seems, and our source at the company has just revealed what the phone will look like, while he also confirmed some of its specifications. If you take a look at the gallery down below, you will be able to see the UMIDIGI Z2 in several images. The first thing you will notice is probably its notch at the top, which makes it resemble the iPhone X at first. This handset does sport rather thin bezels, though it has that notch, and a noticeable bezel below its display.
All of the phone’s physical keys will be placed on the right, its volume up, volume down and power / lock buttons, while you will find two cameras on the back of this phone. Next to those two cameras, a dual-LED flash is located, while a fingerprint scanner lies below those snappers. The UMIDIGI Z2 will be made out of metal and glass, while its back side will be curved to a degree. A Type-C USB port will be located at the bottom of the phone, as will the phone’s loudspeaker. A 3.5mm headphone jack will not be a part of the picture, it seems, while the company’s branding sits on the back of this phone. Our source at the company also confirmed that the device will sport two cameras on its front side as well, and that NFC will be included in the package. Unfortunately, the company did not release any spec info when it comes to this smartphone, so we do not know what size will its display be, what SoC will it sport, or anything of the sort, but the phone will probably be rather affordable.
The UMIDIGI Z2 will be a direct successor to the UMIDIGI Z1 and Z1 Pro which have been out in the market for quite some time now. The UMIDIGI Z2 will be a significant departure from those two smartphones as far as the design is concerned, though. It is worth noting that UMIDIGI announced the UMIDIGI S2 Lite quite recently, a big battery smartphone which comes with 4GB of RAM and the ‘Face ID’ facial recognition. Our source claims that the UMIDIGI S2 Lite will become available for pre-order starting on January 22, and that it will cost $169.99, which is worth noting if you’re interested in the device. As far as the UMIDIGI Z2 is concerned, it is still unknown when will it launch, but that will probably happen in the near future.
