Xiaomi Mi 7 Render Leaks With A Glass Back, Dual Cameras

The Xiaomi Mi 7 is the company’s upcoming flagship handset, which is expected to launch in the coming months, and the phone’s alleged render has just surfaced. We’ve seen a number of Xiaomi Mi 7 leaks thus far, though so much conflicting info surfaced, that it’s hard to know what’s real and what isn’t. The render that leaked today does seem like a possibility, even though it’s showing off the back side of the device, so we’re not getting all that much info.

If you take a look at the provided image, you will be able to see the device which looks like the Xiaomi Mi 6 and OnePlus 5T melted into one phone. The company’s branding is present on the back, as is a fingerprint scanner. A dual camera setup is located in the upper-left corner of the phone’s back side, next to which you will spot a dual-LED, dual-tone flash. The back side of this phone is curved, and all the physical keys are located on the right-hand side of the phone, well, left, if you’re looking at them from the back. Corners of the phone do not seem to be all that curved, and it’s hard to say how big the phone is, but it does seem to be larger than the Mi 6. It is actually possible that the company will release the Xiaomi Mi 7 in two sizes, as its predecessors were quite compact, but a larger, ‘Plus’ variant, is a possibility. The back side of this phone is covered in glass, and considering that the company joined the WPC (Wireless Power Consortium) a while back, that makes sense, as the phone will probably ship with wireless charging, even Xiaomi hinted at that earlier this month.

Having said that, the Xiaomi Mi 7 could launch in the first quarter of the year (during MWC), or in April perhaps, as its predecessor landed in April. The Xiaomi Mi 7 will almost certainly ship with Qualcomm’s latest flagship, the Snapdragon 845, while it will pack in 6GB of RAM. Android Nougat or Android Oreo will come pre-installed on the device, along with Xiaomi’s MIUI 9 skin. Its battery size is still unknown as we don’t even know how large its display will be, so presuming anything at this point would not be wise. Chances are that more info will leak out in the coming weeks, so stay tuned.
