The Xiaomi Mi Max 3 specifications leaked yesterday, and the phone’s first real life image has just surfaced as well. If you take a look at the provided image, you will get to see the alleged Mi Max 3 real life image, which reveals some design info when it comes to the device. As you can see, the phone sports a rear-facing fingerprint scanner, above which you will notice a dual camera setup, and a dual-LED flash. The phone’s power / lock, volume up and volume down keys are placed on the right, and the upper antenna line is also visible in this image. Based on the provided image, the phone will be made out of metal yet again, just like its two predecessors.
Now, this leak also mentioned some Mi Max 3 specs, it claims that the device will be fueled by the Snapdragon 660, and not the Snapdragon 635 that was mentioned in yesterday’s leak. The Snapdragon 660 is already available out in the market, unlike the Snapdragon 635 which has not been announced just yet. The source also mentions that the device will ship with MIUI 9 out of the box, while a 1,000 Yuan price point is also mentioned, though that’s highly unlikely, the Mi Max 3 is expected to cost at least around 1,500 Yuan ($233), 1,600 Yuan ($249). In any case, the device is expected to sport a 6.99-inch fullHD+ (2160 x 1080) display, along with 3GB / 4GB of RAM and 64GB / 128GB of native storage, which will probably be expandable. The phone will probably also be equipped with two SIM card slots, while a 5,500mAh non-removable battery will also be a part of the package, and it will utilize Qualcomm’s Quick Charge 3.0 fast charging.
Two 12-megapixel cameras are said to be placed on the back of the device, while a single 5-megapixel shooter will be included on the device’s front side. A 3.5mm headphone jack probably won’t be a part of the package, while the phone will almost certainly ship with considerably thinner bezels than its predecessors. Xiaomi had already trimmed down bezels on the Redmi 5 and Redmi 5 Plus, and the company is expected to do the same on a number of upcoming handsets, especially mid-range and high-end ones. The Mi Max 3 will probably launch in mid-2018, though nothing has been confirmed just yet.
