ASUS ZenFone Max Plus (M1) Now Available In North America

The ASUS ZenFone Max Plus (M1) was originally announced back in November, and the device has just become available in North America. The device can now be purchased in both the US and Canada. In the US, it is priced at $229, and you can purchase it from the ASUS Store, Amazon, B&H, Newegg and Best Buy, plus some other, unnamed, retailers. The device is already available for purchase in the US, and it comes in the Azure Silver and Deepsea color variants, though keep in mind that only the Deepsea Black model is available over at Best Buy, and it is being sold under a different name (Max M1 Plus).

As far as Canada is concerned, the Deepsea Black variant is already available. The device is priced at $229 CAD, and it is available via Amazon Canada, and ‘other leading retailers’. During the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) last month, ASUS did confirm that this handset will come to North America in February, and that’s what just happened. The ASUS ZenFone Max Plus (M1) is not a high-end smartphone, not by a long shot. This handset is fueled by a modest MediaTek MT6750T 64-bit octa-core processor, which is one of MediaTek’s entry-level chips. The device is equipped with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of native storage. The ZenFone Max Plus (M1) features a 5.65-inch fullHD+ (2160 x 1080) display, with a 2.5D curved glass on top of it. Android 7.0 Nougat comes pre-installed on this smartphone, while ASUS’ Zen UI 4.0 is included on top of Google’s operating system.

There are two snappers placed on the back of the ZenFone Max Plus (M1), 16 and 8-megapixel shooters, while a single 16-megapixel camera is included on the front side of this phone. A fingerprint scanner sits on the back of the ZenFone Max Plus (M1), and the device is made out of metal. This phone’s display sports rounded corners, and all of its physical keys are located on the right. A 4,130mAh non-removable battery is included in the package as well, while the phone sports two SIM card slots (2x nano SIM), and a separate microSD card slot (up to 256GB). The ZenFone Max Plus (M1) also comes with Bluetooth 4.0, and it offers the Face Unlock security feature as well.
